I mostly did the old fold-over, but I did have my grandmother stovepipe the bottoms for me with her sewing machine on my nicer jeans!

I miss those days too!! Nothing to do but drink wine coolers, listen to my LP's, and write lyrics on my peechee folders!!
Viva la 80's!

Re: crowded house fans?

I saw him live twice on his 'Try Whistling This' tour. Hmm. Not all that impressed. He always does CH stuff though, which was the highlight.

Crowded House

> Crowded House! Cool man!
- They were an excellent band

> I was singing their stuff live tonight!!
- cool

> Went down a storm, especially 'Private Universe'!!
- THAT is a GREAT song

One All/One Nil

> Have you heard Neil Finn's new release? Any opinions?

- his latest was released in the U.K. and New Zealkand in 2001 as "One Nil" and in the U.S.A. in Spring 2002 as "One All" and it is a BITCHIN' album!

I saw him play live at the L.A. House of Blues with Johnny Marr on guest lead guitar:

cheers!

Re: crowded house fans?

> I'd love to hear him do "Weather With You" and "There Goes God" live..
Do you do those?
I really liked Woodface, but nothing beats old CH!

Frenz of the Enz

I love all the Crowded House albums they put out- and the Split Enz were a phenomenal band a s well... and Neil Finns 2 recent solo ones are great, too... The "Frenz of the Enz" compilation has a lot of rare odds and sods Enz, CH, Finn Brothers, and offshoots B-Sides and stuff- including te accoustic Demo of "Weather With You" with an extra verse that was missing from the studio version... I bought it on import and it was worth it!!

Yes, Jay! I've seen the pics on your site!

Both Neil & JM are very nice guys.

Re: crowded house fans?

'Woodface' *was* a CH album.

I think the best CH album, or at least *my* favourite, is 'Together Alone'.

Meeting The Men

> Yes, Jay! I've seen the pics on your site!
- excellent ;^)

> Both Neil & JM are very nice guys.
- yes indeed they put on a great show that night- and were very generous with their time and cool to chat with, "Linders Used Tampon"

Very Crowded House

> 'Woodface' *was* a CH album.
- yes it was... it was originally going to be "The Finn Brothers" first album but Tim and Neil Finn decided to just add Tim to CH and release it with Nick Seymoor and Paul Hester after all...

> I think the best CH album, or at least *my* favourite, is 'Together
> Alone'.
- I brought that one to work today and by coincidence I'm actually listening to it right now as I read your post...

Re: Meeting The Men

I have the same DVD as you. The one from NZ. Very good, although I tend to skip past Eddie Vedder.

>.... and were very generous with their time and cool to chat with, "Linders Used Tampon"

I'm not *really* Linders Used Tampon.

Tampons can't type.....

...at least not very well.

Re: Very Crowded House

How very bizarre!

You wouldn't just be saying that to get into my pants, would you?

lol:)

7 Worlds Collided

> I have the same DVD as you. The one from NZ. Very good, although I tend to
> skip past Eddie Vedder.
- ha ha ha yeah I'm originally from Seattle but I never reaklly got heavily into Pearl Jam... Eddie's cool, though

> I'm not *really* Linders Used Tampon.

> Tampons can't type.....

> ...at least not very well.
- okee dokee

I thought Neil did a GREAT job singing TIALTNGO with Marr on lead guitar- and @ the HOB show he sang HSIN? brilliantly.. it was amazing seeing Johnny up there railing away the famous riffs...

cheers

Together Alone

> How very bizarre!
- strange but true

> You wouldn't just be saying that to get into my pants, would you?

> lol:)

- I really did bring it to work today... I'm now looking at the sleeve... I saw them play a couple times- once in Seattle in '92 and in L.A. in '94 - they put on fantastic shows- and Neil's solo shows are still BITCHIN'

... and, YES, if you are indeed a BABE then of course I am just trying to get in your pants. Just because I have no idea what you look like or even if you are actually a heterosexual woman doesn't stop me at all. Naturally I am only thinking about getting laid somehow whenever I write on a message board. I am a victim of my voracious sexual apeteite. Or not.

*wink*

;^)
