I generally spend more time with my son these days. It is just what is happening in these transitional times of both my daughter and my son.
My wife says don't worry, you just keep showing our daughter how you treat me and she will know how she is supposed to treated.
I also think that I have to show my son the example of how he is supposed to be as a man. For that he needs to know me, but for me to understand him, I have to know him. A lot of that just comes down to spending time with him. Most of it is very fun now and just getting to know the little things about him and what makes him tick.
I was thinking about this this week and tried to take in all the cool things we do together and how he lets me into his life.
Our monopoly game this weeknight when he made some special chance cards.

I walked him to school, he took me into his classroom and showed me the cards he made to silently communicate with his friends in class.
Times I am capturing in busy life. Drawing me closer. I find that when I am patient to experience these things in his time that he is open to learn things from me in my time. All for my son and heir.
