I would indeed. I disliked it before I ever head any word from Moz about it. I do like a few songs (Driving Your Girlfriend Home, Mute Witness) but most of it I find dull. Although the Kill Uncle songs sounded great on the tour, played in rockabilly fashion. If the album had sounded like that I would love it.

As did I.

Right on. Thanks. Nice hair btw

Vauxhall And I, You Are The Quarry and Viva Hate are my contenders. I went for Viva Hate though.

I'm torn between Kill Uncle and Vauxhall and I. :tears:

as you've only been a fan for a year or two i'd hold fire EPster. i hated kill uncle & southpaw when i bought them on release, now they are my current champions:guitar::p

2 years, for the record. :p

Yes, Ringleader is currently ahead of Quarry. Quarry is good but so overrated by fans in general - Ringleader is sublime!

1. Vauxhall and I
2. Your Arsenal
3. Ringleader of the Tormentors
4. Viva Hate
5. You are the Quarry
6. Southpaw Grammar
7. Maladjusted
8. Kill Uncle

Who would date a Morrissey album?

I would rather date a record than a man.

1. Record won't get listened to by other girls if you don't want it to.
2. Record can't lie to you. It can only play what it's been pressed to play.
3. Record will still be there in the morning.
4. As long as you treat it with gentleness and respect, record will last forever.
5. Record doesn't smell bad.
6. Record becomes more valuable as it ages, not less.

Do I need any other reasons? Because I could probably come up with more.

Oh... on-topic-ness. I dunno. Each record has its own charms. I just listened to Maladjusted today (the song, not the entire album) and it might be his finest as art. Then again... the Pigsty is very powerful. To be honest, I've consumed all the music Morrissey has made since 1992 only in the last two years, so it's been like a massive retrospective exhibition. No atrocities, thankfully.

You forgot the obvious one: almost all records are a full 12 inches.

But:

  • Records, like men, get scratchier as they get older.
  • Records, like men, don't do anything without constant needling.
  • The more warped they are, both records and men are harder to listen to.
  • Singles are over too quickly, but LPs drag on forever. Not all of them have any pick up at the end, either.
  • If a record gets too valuable, one of your friends may try to snatch it for herself.

I LOL'd.

Your first point is the most trenchant.

Thank you. At least one person got it. That's all I ask for in life, to make one person happy. Usually, it's me.

Did you get my PM, or not?
