not sure if this is new or not but read about it in an article http://www.the-dish.co.uk/2008/03/06/theres-a-light-that-never-goes-out-anberlin/

Our first guest cover of the week comes from the guys over at Drop Dead Clothing. Oli has chosen Anberlins‘ cover of a Smiths classic There is a Light That Never Goes Out. The track was first released by Morrissey and co. in 1992 after the band had split up. The song, loved by fans of The Smiths and music in general was featured on the 1986 album The Queen is Dead.
Anberlin have covered is tune for their special edition 2007 album Cities. The band have formally covered Like A Rolling Stone and Depeche Mode’s Enjoy The Silence. The band from Florida, USA have been together since 2002 and are now breaking through in to the UK scene.
Oli from Drop Dead announced: “sometimes I find myself listening to that more than the original! Its awesome.”
