You know, as depressing as latter-day Morrissey life is, at least it keeps us entertained.

This one just came to my head now:

“Oh, crap. I shouldn’t have let Rebels Without Applause be mixed that way and released it.

Oh, crap. I shouldn’t have let my inept nephew take over marketing all those years ago.

Oh, crap! I certainly shouldn’t have cancelled all those shows and not mentioned anything about it…

Ah, it’s too hot today.”

Just the standard things - define his brand, post things that align with the brand, research things properly, hire a good press contact, build press contacts, make sure credits & listings are correct, create a calender to track opening nights & release/post content starting 6 months to 4 weeks beforehand.

Well, probably you'd be looked down upon for suggesting banalities such as "brand" or "press contacts". He considers himself a larger than life, beyond-it-all sort of übermensch artiste. Also, what would you No Pasarán do if he supports an organization like this? Take a look

Anywazzz, the rest of the venues seem to have sold well. Four nights in NYC... let's hope luck brings a surprise :fourleaf:

He should combine them into one show in a bigger venue as someone else said the other week. They've dropped the prices for balcony seats but the the others are still expensive.
I could be wrong but it wouldn't be so easy, as Brooklyn Made is the promoter for these and they only control three venues in NYC. If it was the bigger conglomerate, MSG Entertainment or Bowery Presents it *could* be possible since they control the bulk of the bigger and more popular venues like MSG, Radio City, Terminal 5 etc. But I don't know all the particulars of the business. I am excited to see this beautiful old movie house located waaay uptown.

Oh, that's your game.

It's more interesting that the winners will be supporting a multicultural queer band.

I wanted so badly to make the trip to Memphis. My two favorite artists colliding for one night. Couldn't swing it with work.

Seriously, if you've never been to Graceland it is incredible. So much more than just the house.

All he’d have to do is a set list which creates a buzz on night one—and he’d probably sell out the entire tour within 24 hours.

As ever, the outcome is entirely in his own hands.
Exactly. Play the songs that fans want to hear and these would all sell out.

Something like this would be appropriate, given the billing, with another handful of classics swapped in and out.

Hand In Glove
First of the Gang to Die
Tomorrow
My Love Life
I Am Veronica
Interesting Drug
My Love I'd Do Anything For You
Dear God Please Help Me
The Youngest Was The Most Loved
Once I Saw the River Clean
Trouble Loves Me
Cemetery Gates
Sunny
All You Need Is Me
Istanbul
Everyday Is Like Sunday
That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
The Night Pop Dropped
Stop Me If You Think That You've Heard This One Before
Now My Heart is Full
---------------
Panic
Suedehead

Take out everyday is like Sunday, my love I’d do anything for you, and now my heart is full, (which I’ve always hated) add in something is squeezing my skull/ mama lay softly, sister I’m a poet, I am hated for loving etc.

Suedehead is always, always welcome though. My favourite time below.

Yep, Suedehead is world class. It's a great track all around.

Yes, but that’s not important.
I always thought that VAI should have just started with Spring-Heeled Jim,
Now my heart is full is and always has been a wet fart of a song.
Now My Heart Is Full is a Moz epic comparable in brilliance to Late Night, Maudlin Street or Life Is A Pigsty or I Know It's Over!
