This whole "40 Years of Morrissey" thing has got me thinking, since they're using album titles on the tour images...
IF the advertising is actually accurate, and we are going to get at least one song from each of the albums listed, please note the 22 albums in the poster are NOT the same as the titles in your list. The actual titles are:

The Smiths
Hatful of Hollow
Meat is Murder
The Queen is Dead
The World Wont Listen
Louder Than Bombs
Strangeways Here We Come
Viva Hate
Bona Drag
Kill Uncle
Your Arsenal
Vauxhall and I
Southpaw Grammar
My Early Burglary Years
Maladjusted
You Are the Quarry
Ringleader of the Tormentors
Years of Refusal
World Peace is None of Your Business
Low in High School
California Sun
I Am Not a Dog on a Chain

There are some very curious choices here. Why is 'My Early Burglary Years' included, but not 'Swords' (for example)? Is this just a totally random list Sam has culled from the internet, or are they really picking a 22 song setlist from these albums?

My hunch is it's all bollocks, and we'll get pretty much the same setlist we always get. However, if you are going to play this setlist game, it seems to me that you would be better off using the albums actually used in the promo art.

as accurate as the young picture of Morrissey is?

Well, I’m not gonna post my wish list, but from California Son … I always thought ‘Suffer The Little Children’ would make a great song to do live.

Record companies don't care how many tickets he sells. His physical albums barely register sales wise and haven't for a lot of years. Looks more sad and desperate with every post.

This whole "40 Years of Morrissey" thing has got me thinking, since they're using album titles on the tour images... Given that we're lucky these days to get a setlist of 20 songs in one evening, and there are 20 studio albums to choose from (I'm including Hatful and the two unreleased ones, whatever), and there's a rule of one song from each album, what would be your personal setlist?

I don't necessarily mean the best song from each record, but 20 songs that would make up, for you, a great Morrissey show?

The Smiths
Hatful of Hollow
Meat Is Murder
The Queen Is Dead
Strangeways Here We Come
Viva Hate
Kill Uncle
Your Arsenal
Vauxhall and I
Southpaw Grammar
Maladjusted
You Are the Quarry
Ringleader of the Tormentors
Years of Refusal
World Peace Is None of Your Business
Low in High School
California Son
I Am Not a Dog on a Chain
Bonfire of Teenagers
Without Music the World Dies
Dream setlist:

Still Ill
William It Was Really Nothing
Well I Wonder
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me
Alsatian Cousin
Found Found Found
You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side
Billy Budd
Southpaw
Lost
You Know I Couldn't Last
Life Is A Pigsty
All You Need Is Me
Art Hounds
Home Is A Question Mark
Don't Interrupt The Sorrow
Once I Saw The River Clean
Ha Ha Harlem
Suspicious Minds

I know I'm cheating slightly with Lost, not on the album, and Art Hounds, only on the extended album, but they are easily some of the best songs from their respective eras - and both would sound great live I think.

sammy if your watching get your printer going and get some of these lists printed off for M to have a look at.

I think he’ll kick the tour off with a setlist similar to the ones at the end of UK tour, which alrehady had a fair selection of singles and tracks from different albums. As the tour unfolds, he should really consider replacing The Loop by a song from YA, adding pigsty, and doing some different Smiths tunes, HSIN really being overplayed by now. Of course, we could also do without Paris but it is unlikely that he will drop it (he already did us the favor of dropping the other Paris theme song).

But OK, this would be my suggested list:
Still ill
Girl Afraid
Barbarism ( dedicated to Andy)
There’s a light
Girlfriend in a coma
EILS
Sing your life
National front disco
Speedway
Reader meets author
Trouble loves me
First of the gang
Pigsty
I’m OK by myself
Istanbul
Spent the day in bed
Days of decision
Once I saw the river clean
Bonfire of teenagers
Suspicious minds
