"There Is A Light..."

Have recently discovered that the original version of 'There Is A Light...' the final lines allegedly read:

"There's a light in your eyes and it never goes out"

instead of

"There is a light and it never goes out"

Two questions really:

1. Is this true or simply made up for no real reason?
2. If it is true does a demo version / live version that exists with the original lines?

It's more than likely true as it's in Songs That Saved Your Life.

Probably somewhere but not one that's available anywhere.

1: It's true
2: It existed at some time, might have been deleted though by now

I'd love to hear this if anyone has it.
