Morrissey was fantastic tonight, top, top evening.
Sang my bloody heart out, thank you Morrissey 👍View attachment 93621
Please excuse my dear friend Liz's rather manic smile, its her pissed selfie pose lol.
Also interestingly when we got into my mates car outside as we were leaving, there was Clem Burke, drummer from Blondie standing outside. Rolled the window down, shook his hand, told him he was a legend and drove off.
Great night 👍

I’ve just left the venue, and it was rather underwhelming, and not just because of the set list itself but its ordering as well. The whole “rats” business needs to go from “Jack the Ripper” - it ruins one of his classics, leaving everyone confused. “Speedway” is an incredible song, but not a set closer. The start of the set, in particular, was a mood killer. On the other hand, “The Loop” and “Girlfriend” were highs, but not enough to redeem everything else.

Now to trudge home in the rain…

And before I forget, when “Paris” is one of the better moments, you know things aren’t great.
I completely disagree - the setlist was tight and there was no lull moments. Last night played against - believe it or not - expectations, with the piano intro to 'Sunday' used instead for 'Please, Please...', and the encore not being 'Sweet and Tender' but 'Speedway'.

Morrissey was in good spirits and the band played brilliantly, and it must be said that Carmen is a fantastic addition to the band and carries that spark that was reignited with Alain's return. However, she seems to take it further and really brings a wonderful energy and new groove to some songs.

I might have missed it but I'm surprised after previous comments over the years that Morrissey seems less energised and engaged, but this tour has shown otherwise. That energy and playfulness is back in full swing and the hips swing once again.

I thought last night was brilliant. 'Half a Person' and 'Bonfire...' stood out and both really sounded beautiful.

Apart from that drunk guy in the crowd ruining things slightly, David Johansen was wonderful and has never sounded better. The idol's idol.

Nice! Shame the HMV one doesn't have space for a mount. Did your local framer have ready made sizes?

For those giving me/others grief for shelling out the money for these signed vinyls: for me it's the reassurance of knowing you have bought something genuine, a real collector's item that you will treasure. No different from a piece of shirt in that sense?! Though I've just seen a Vauxhall one going for 450 on ebay, cheeky swines.

Yeah they had some frames for 12’ vinyls. Popped it in and taped up the back.

I don’t think £250 is a big deal, it’s something you’ll treasure forever and that one looks great.
A lot of people must spend that money on all kinds of crap they don’t need each month. I’d rather buy one of those than spend £250 on takeaways and booze.

Everyone has a different show, and I am glad that you enjoyed yourself.

Generally, the audience did seem appreciative of the songs, but I think the whole thing lacked an intensity - an intensity that I’ve felt at other Morrissey concerts. The last time I saw him, at the Palladium, had more of that energy, although by all accounts, he was probably more chatty on this occasion. For clarity, neither do I have a problem with the band/playing of the songs.

Until the set list changes rather significantly, I’ll put off going to another concert, although I know for some the set list isn’t as important as simply seeing him. For me, I have the same feeling as I did after seeing a lot of shows around 2015, where I was left bored by the World Peace-intensive sets. Again, there are far too many over played, underwhelming tracks. Some will disagree, but to play “I Wish You Lonely” as the second track is sacrilege when you have the catalogue Morrissey has.

Some one walked out from the front with a bloodied nose last night too. A lot of pissed up people there last night.

And that is exactly why I now follow Daniel O'Donnell around the country! There is very little chance of a bloody nose...unless someone sneezes a little too hard.
